Wanna take a trip?

“”

My bags are packed, my boarding pass is printed, and I am waiting anxiously to head off to Chicago, IL for the weekend. I won’t be vacationing, or taking in the sights—even better! I will be joining with thousands of other women (and young women) from across the country at the True Woman ’08 Conference.

This conference is sponsored by Nancy’s ministry, Revive Our Hearts. The focus of the conference is a cultural shift toward Biblical womanhood. Tonight I will have the chance to listen to Nancy speak and tomorrow I will be joining Dannah in a special track just for teen girls.

Dannah will be teaching about several important truths from Lies Young Women Believe. (And rumor has it that a fashion show and some wacky games will also be thrown into the mix)! I am anticipating a sweet time of teaching and Truth telling. I wish I could pack each one of you along in my suitcase.

Since that isn’t possible (it’s a very small suitcase), I am planning to take you with me through this blog. I will be writing about my experiences all along the way and updating the blog as often as possible. I’ll be sure to include pictures of my trip and may even snag some time to interview Dannah and the girls who will be attending True Woman.

Since I really want you to experience what God is doing in my life this weekend, and in the lives of the thousands of women who will be joining me at the conference, I plan to include as many photos as possible. To get things started, I’ve included a picture of my son, Elisha helping me pack.

So, don’t worry about packing your bags. Just set aside some time this weekend to read about all that God is doing at True Woman! I will be praying for you and thinking of you all along the way.

HEY, GIRLS! We love hearing from you, but feel limited in the ways we can help. For one thing, we’re not trained counselors. If you’re seeking counsel, we encourage you to talk to your pastor or a godly woman in your life as they’ll know more details and can provide you with ongoing accountability and help.
