I’ve got to be honest. I’m a little jealous! You have a reason to buy new school supplies. All those blank notebooks containing nothing but possibilities, pencils begging to be sharpened, and nifty little folders that are unscathed by homework are enough to make me giddy.
I don’t have a reason to buy school supplies this year. (Which hasn’t kept me from hanging out in the school supply aisles more than once!) So I will have to live vicariously through you.
That’s why I want you to take those beautiful new notebooks and write all over them! Oh, and do the same thing to your locker, would ya?
Let me explain.
As much as I love all of the supplies in your backpack, they aren’t the most important thing you’ll be toting to school this year. Nope. Your biggest accessory is God’s truth. It’s what will keep you tethered to Him as you face the ups and downs of this school year.
We want to make avoiding lies this school year as easy as possible for you. That’s why we’ve come up with an idea to help you choose truth. The plan is simple. You put God’s truth where you can see it this year, and we give you free books as a reward!
Simply decorate your notebooks or locker with verses straight out of God’s Word. (If you’re not sure where to start, download this free PDF of truths to set you free.) Then send us a picture of your locker or notebook at info@reviveourhearts.com.
We will choose ten of you who send us photos and ship you a free copy of Lies Young Women Believe. Read it yourself and/or pass it on to a friend who needs God’s truth this year.
In the meantime, leave us a comment telling us one verse from God’s Word that you plan to cling to this school year. I’ll go first.
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him (Prov. 30:5).
PS: You must submit photos of your "truth art" by next Monday, September 3.
