It’s Time to Celebrate!

Do you know that feeling when you’ve been waiting for something exciting for a loooonnnng time, and the big day finally arrives? That’s the feeling our blog team has today!

For months we’ve kept the refresh of Lies Young Women Believe under wraps, and today is the day we get to unveil this beauty to the world. We’re so excited, we could do cartwheels! Because we know you will be excited, too, here’s the scoop.

What Is Lies Young Women Believe?

We know many of you are familiar with the book that this blog is named after, but some of you may not be. Originally released in 2008, the book was written by friends of the blog, Nancy (Leigh) DeMoss Wolgemuth and Dannah Gresh. This blog was born soon after the book was released to keep the conversation going.

Lies Young Women Believe is a book dedicated to exploring the impact lies have on our lives and replacing them with God’s truth. So many of the words found in the book are timeless, yet the specific lies we see young women believing have shifted.

Enter the refresh . . .

What Is a Refresh?

Some of the content in the book needed to be modernized. (When was the last time you checked your MySpace or listened to music on your iPod? Yep, those references needed to go!) But we also saw the need to address some whopper lies more in-depth or more clearly. So a team of writers and editors spent months working with Nancy and Dannah to give the book a needed facelift. The end result is a better book with the same laser focus on obliterating lies.

Fun Freebies!

We love the readers of this blog! (We really, really do!) So we want to get God’s truth in your hands every way possible. This book is a great way to do that. We hope you will run (not walk!) to your nearest Christian bookstore, order a copy online, or download a copy and start identifying lies in your own life and replace them with God’s truth.

We’re so eager to get this book into your hands, we will be giving away a copy with every blog post in the month of February. Read and comment. It’s that simple. At the end of the month, we will pick a commenter from each post to receive a free copy of the book. Whoot!

More Good News!

As another fun way to celebrate, we are rolling out new designs for LiesYoungWomenBelieve.com T-shirts and journals, designed by blog readers just like you! You’re going to love them! Each week in February you will get to see new designs and vote on your very favorite. Based on your top picks, we will have LiesYoungWomenBelieve.com gear in our shop very soon!

We are so glad we get to celebrate this launch with you! Don’t miss a post all month long as we choose God’s truth together (and snag some fun freebies along the way).

Let the cartwheeling begin!

Much love,

Your LiesYoungWomenBelieve.com Blog Team
