Is God Dead?

The last time I posted about depression on this blog, you responded with sixty-nine comments. I take that as a sign that it’s is an issue worth discussing. Really, I didn’t need to read sixty-nine comments to know that. All I have to do is look at my own story to know that depression is real. It hurts. It’s confusing. 

The Dark Night of the Soul

Have you walked through a period of depression so heavy that you struggle to believe that you’ll ever be truly, sincerely happy again? What are we supposed to do in those times? While there isn’t a button that we can push to make God automatically feel close by, there are some efforts we can make to ensure that time "in the dark" isn’t wasted.

Studying With Mom

With their Bibles open, our moms poured out the lessons they’d learned over the years. Sharing their hearts, they recalled past experiences and reflected on how God worked in their lives. I was amazed to find the very same feelings and struggles that I am going through have been present in the life of my mother or one of the other moms.
