It’s happened more times than I can count on one hand. My morning alarm clock starts buzzing, and I reach over to click the snooze button. I look at the time and groan . . . way too early! Should I get up and read my Bible, or catch a few more minutes of sleep? I convince myself that I’ll do my Bible time later in the day and close my eyes. Well, later never comes, and I miss my Bible time again. Does that routine sound familiar to anyone?
In spite of our conditioning toward instant gratification, most of the best things in life still take a lot of time. It takes time to grow a friendship, to learn a new skill, or to change from a girl into a woman. It also takes time to grow in wisdom and in your walk with Christ. There is no app that will instantly turn you into a woman who knows God’s Word!
Snow is more than just some cold, white stuff that keeps me stuck indoors. It is a reminder that God is in control of all things; His hand is involved in all things. Those teeny-tiny snowflakes were created by a very BIG God. When I know what the Bible says about snow, it becomes another reminder of the character of God.
